Dr. Bechtel is the founder and owner of Martinsville Eyecare Center. Dr. Bechtel has been providing excellent care in the Martinsville area since 2001.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr.Bechtel graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska in 1991 with a B.S. in Mathematics. She lived in Japan for one year teaching Math and then served in the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant. She graduated at the top of her class from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Optometry in 2000 where she received the Eskridge Clinical Excellence Award.
Dr. Bechtel serves on the Smart Beginnings and YMCA boards. She enjoys running and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Clemons is a native of Martinsville and Henry County. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Clemons received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She has rotated through various clinical settings, including the Salem Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salem, VA, the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind in Talladega, AL, Southglenn Eyecare in Centennial, CO, and Vistar Eye Center in Roanoke, VA.
Dr. Clemons enjoys time with family and friends and spending time outdoors! You can also catch her cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies!
